Interesting money making opportunity that I stumbled across

In my search to find ways to make a steady income through the internet, I’ve come across a system developed by super affiliate, Tissa Godavitarne. The system takes you through 3 steps in a “back office” web site that Tissa developed himself. The main idea around the whole thing is that he creates a people search engine for you with affiliate links on it that you earn commissions from. Why a people search engine? Well according to him, one third of all searches on the major search engines are people search related. Along with that, you earn commissions from Tissa himself whenever you refer someone to the system and they complete the 3 steps as well.

How much does it cost you ask? Well unlike those typical “get rich quick schemes,” this system is free to join. The only fees you pay are $10 a month to GDI, a web host company that you must get your web hosting through. GDI is good because it allows you build a downline of referrals that you earn money from. I think 5 signups in a week is a $100 bonus. 10 signups is $200. The other fee is $29.95 a month to Tissa himself. This low monthly price is for Tissa to advertise your search engine in his own Google, Yahoo, and MSN advertising campaigns. This is paid through PayPal and he gives you the first month free, just to see the kind of revenue power that this system has.

I’ve been doing it for a week now. After completing the 3 steps, he pays you a $125 guaranteed commission. Along with that, I’ve earned about $3 from Adsense ads that appear on my search results page of my people search engine. I’ve also earned $12.02 from one of my affiliate’s for an email search that someone bought.

If you’re thinking that this is a scam then stop, because it isn’t. This isn’t a get rich quick scheme. This isn’t a gimmick. This is a well thought out, pre-optimized system that makes you money through referrals and affiliate commissions. If you were to create a website on your own and add affiliate links on it that relates to the content of your site then it would be the exact same as this. However, this system takes the website design part out of it and gives you a people search engine in an already profitable niche. The only thing that you need to do to make it work well is advertise.

If you’re new to advertising then read about Google Adwords and get accustomed with how it works. Then after starting up with this system, advertise through Adwords and get the traffic coming to your site.

The iPhone 2.2 Software Update is a step in the right direction

Ever since the Friday release, I’ve been testing the new features and bug fixes from the iPhone 2.2 Software Update. Let me just say that this update is a step in the right direction for the iPhone.

Comments on the updates

The main issue for me was Safari. This update was supposed to fix the crashes and improve the stability of the browser. This is exactly it did. Since installing the 2.2 software update, I haven’t experienced any problems with Safari. No crashes. No freezes. It runs like a champ. The new interface isn’t too bad either. Not having to touch the address bar to access Google search makes browsing faster.

I also played around with Google Street View. This is a cool feature that lets you view a three dimensional panorama of streets in major cities. The picture quality is great and moving around the streets is smooth and fluid.

Apple also gave us the option to turn off auto correction on the virtual keyboard. I tried it out and it works, but I prefer to have it turned on.

My iPhone 3G Christmas Wishlist

This update doesn’t fulfill all my desires that I expressed in my iPhone Christmas Wishlist. However, it did resolve the issues with Safari. I don’t really expect Apple to release one update that will satisfy everything on my list. It will happen over a series of updates. This is a definite step in the right direction. It shows Apple is actually listening to its customers and fixing whatever problems they might be having. It will only get better from here.

HOW-TO #1c: Another bug found in my wp_get_archives modification process and its fix

Anytime when you mess with some sort of code you will most likely always find bugs and errors, unless the code is extremely simple. So here I am again to report another easily fixed bug in my wp_get_archives modification process.

The Problem

This “bug” was actually found by Andrew Duck from QuiqCorp (Thanks Andrew!). This one also has to do with the query_posts() function. The code in its current state will not distinguish between the years your posts were published. Let’s say your blog has posts that span over 3 years, from November 2005 to November 2008. In your archives page, the code will output all posts that were published in November under November 2005, November 2006, November 2007, and November 2008. The same is true for all the months.
